Tor.com has started looking back into the 1970s to celebrate women writers who debuted between 1970 and 1979, and this is how far they've gotten. I was fortunate to read some of them because I haunted public libraries in the 80s and 90s and found a good used bookstore when I lived in east Pennsylvania in the early 90s. I'm getting very frustrated with the pacing of this series lately, since not much happens here. Despite the massive possibilities for conflict and drama in Bren's work in Mospheira, it's mostly been a tea party for him. It really takes a while for Tracker to get moving. Things start off somewhat boring, and once again the reader has to deal with reiterations and rehashes of previous events in this admittedly long and long-running series. I borrowed Now You See Me on DVD from the library and enjoyed it a lot. It is entertaining and exciting, has a great cast (Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Mark Ruffalo, Isla Fisher), keeps you guessing, and shows how someone can use magic tricks as martial arts.
